January[]
- 31: Police raid a printing press used by anarchist groups in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They shoot, capture and arrest Severino Di Giovanni. The new dictatorship announced this as a victory.[1]
February[]
- 1: Severino Di Giovanni is executed by firing squad at age 29, with his last words being “long live anarchy!” He is buried under a cross with no name and no one knows where he is buried.[1]
May[]
- 29: Michele Schirru is executed by the Italian police for his plot to kill Mussolini.[2]
August[]
- 29: A statue of the anarchist Ferdinand Domela Nieuwenhuis is unveiled in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was financed by tens of thousands of Dutch workers.[3]
- Unknown date: The “Manifesto of the Thirty” is published in Spain. This controversial document published by a faction of the CNT advocates for a slower and more conservative approach to revolution.[4]
