- 11: The Bolsheviks send 5,000 soldiers to raid 26 anarchist centres across Moscow, Russia at night, with some fighting continuing to the next day. This results in 500 arrests and 40 anarchists dead. Leon Trotsky declares them “anarcho-bandits” and says “At last the Soviet government, with an iron broom, has rid Russia of Anarchism.”[1]
